We Turn Waste Energy Back Into Value

Waste heat generated during production processes in our cement factory is converted into electrical energy through Waste Heat Recovery Systems.

In 2024, approximately 45,000,000 kWh of electrical energy was generated, preventing 20,000 tons of CO₂ emissions from being released into the atmosphere. This energy met nearly 20% of our facility's total electricity needs, improved energy efficiency and made an important contribution to our sustainable, low-carbon production goals.

Protection of Natural Resources

To reduce natural resource consumption and increase resource efficiency, we are increasing the use of alternative raw materials in our production processes. This approach reduces dependence on natural resources and contributes to running our cement production processes more efficiently and sustainably.

These practices, implemented without compromising quality standards, form one of the essential elements of our sustainable and responsible production approach.

Clean Power from Underground

Through our geothermal energy investments, we use domestic and renewable energy resources to support our production processes with low-carbon energy.

With three geothermal power plants operating under KCS, with installed capacities of 24 MW, 24.8 MW and 10.2 MW, we generate electricity with a total installed capacity of 59 MW. By ensuring the sustainable and effective use of geothermal resources, we contribute to clean energy production, help reduce our carbon footprint and support a more sustainable energy future.

Clean Power from the Sun

With our renewable energy investments, we support our production processes with low-carbon energy.

Our existing solar power plants generate 6,000 kWh of electricity annually and prevent 2,600,000 kg of CO2 emissions. With the planned new 19,000 kWh solar project, we aim to reduce annual emissions by 11,000,000 kg of CO2 equivalent.

As Kipas, with the importance it attaches to education as a social responsibility project, 11 schools have been built and donated to the Ministry of National Education.

Our schools include 223 classrooms, 4,899 students and 330 teachers. Within the scope of Social Responsibility Projects, we meet with children in village schools through enjoyable events organized at certain periods and share their happiness.

Thanks to next-generation electric vehicles used in our raw material quarries and facilities, we increase energy efficiency, reduce natural resource consumption and significantly lower our greenhouse gas emissions.
